20 Free Printable Unicorn Coloring Pages
Twenty unicorns with flowing manes, spiral horns and star-scattered skies. Gentle rounded shapes and generous open areas, these colour beautifully with pastels or bright markers.
The whole appeal of a unicorn page is the mane, and a mane drawn as three wavy lines gives a child nothing to do. These carry long flowing manes and tails as the main event, including a braided one threaded with ribbons, streaming ones on the galloping and rearing designs, and a flower crown resting on top.
Ways to use these
- Rainbow the mane. The long manes are where the color goes. Rainbow order is the fastest route to a page a child is proud of.
- Gel pens over crayon. Metallic and glitter gel pens sit well on top of a waxed crayon base. Let the crayon go down first.
- Heavier paper if using markers. The braided mane and the ribbon detail are narrow enough that marker bleed shows. Cardstock or a spare sheet underneath fixes it.
Every design downloads as a US Letter PDF that also scales cleanly to A4 with “Fit to printable area”. Print in grayscale, there is no color in the files. Ordinary copier paper is fine for crayons and pencils; use cardstock or slip a spare sheet underneath for markers. Free to print at home, in a classroom or in a library, see the license.
Frequently asked questions
Is this too girly for a mixed class?
The set is drawn without pink cues, since there is no color in the file at all. Horned horse, flowing mane, occasionally wings. What it becomes is up to whoever holds the crayons.
Are there winged unicorns?
One, number 6, which has butterfly wings. If you want the flying feeling without wings, number 10 stands on a cloud with stars around it.
Are any based on a cartoon character?
No. Every design is original artwork. We do not publish pages based on films, shows or branded characters.
